Flat glass refers to flat glass products that have not undergone other deep processing. Also known as raw glass sheets, it is a glass product with large output and high demand. It is mainly used in doors, windows, tabletops, partitions and other parts, serving functions such as lighting, enclosure, thermal insulation and sound insulation. It is also the raw sheet for further processing into other functional glass. Here are some suggestions for purchase:
1. Pay attention to the thickness of flat glass. The nominal thickness of flat glass is specified in GB11614 "Flat Glass". According to nominal thickness, flat glass is divided into 2mm, 3mm, 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 15mm, 19mm, 22mm and 25mm, with clear thickness tolerance. However, some enterprises produce or use flat glass such as 4.6mm and 4.8mm instead of 5mm flat glass. In actual use, such "non-standard flat glass" reduces the energy efficiency and safety of the glass. Moreover, it poses a risk of falling off and causing injury to people. When purchasing, consumers must check or measure the thickness of flat glass and buy flat glass that meets the thickness requirements.
2. Pay attention to the appearance of flat glass. First of all, pay attention to the gloss of the flat glass. The better the light transmittance, the better the light transmittance and aesthetics after use. Secondly, check whether the surface of the flat glass is smooth and free of obvious scratches. Finally, make sure there are no bubbles or impurities exceeding the standard requirements inside the glass, so as to avoid affecting the optical performance and beauty of the flat glass.
