Curved Display Glass
The curved display glass is a type of specially processed glass made as component for visual screens, which used in home appliances, smarty controls, automotive dashboards and consumer electronics. Different from flat glass, the curved glass has smooth, consistent curvature can enhances both aesthetics and viewing experience but maintain excellent optical clarity.

Product Introduction
Luxurious Bend Texture - Curved Display Glass
the OEM process of producing a piece of curved display glass
In GL, to make a piece of correct glass, we should goes through different processes:
Raw material incoming:
Alkali aluminosilicate sheets, visual check for scratches or chips.
Surface treatment(Optional):
AG(Anti glare) treatment on single / double sides.
Cut & edge:
Diamond unit cutting, and then CNC grinding & chamfer edges & hole drilling. Tolerance ±0.05mm.
Silkscreen print:
Ceramic ink print on inner side and semi thermal tempering.
Bending:
Open tooling and use the mold to form the shape according to design under furnace.
The furnace designed by GL, which can continously bending instead of wait batch to batch.
Stengthening: Chemically hardened increase hardness.
Explosion proof film lamination.
Clean & inspection
Every piece of curved display glass should go through strict clean(ultrasonic) and inspection, we guarantee all of them on your hand is 100% qualified.

Why you Choose GL instead of other oEM?
In this industry, there are lots of suppliers can produce but why quality much different? Let me introduce to you:
More strict tolerance
Radius variation hold within ±0.1mm for whole curve though most suppliers accept ±0.5mm, which means less optical distortion.
short lead time
The furnace lines are full automatic run, traditional furnce is batch waiting, our speed rate at least 4 times faster.
all process done in house
Different from many suppliers need 2-3 parties to get it finished, we finish all processes by ourselves.
High Light Transmittance
Up to 92%, ensuring bright and vivid displays.
Customization Surface Roughness
Available in matte, semi-matte, and glossy finishes.
UV & Chemical Resistance
Suitable for long-term outdoor or industrial use.
why GL can produce more outstand curved display glass?
We provide curve display glass OEM/ODM customization to meet your specific project requirements.
Regular suppliers:
From beginning the suppliers produce base on lighting, which use traditional furnace and SUS toolings to form the shape under heat, this method with good tolerance but time is quite long but few pieces come out, usually less than 10pcs.
GL:
From very beginning our products focus on appliances and electronics, we design and custom different furnaces by our designers which full automatic flow line to produce them under graphite mold. This way we can have at least 5 times efficiency than traditional furnace and better surface quality under most strict tolerance.
FAQ
Q:What's the best thickness for curve display glass used in home appliances?
A:For most of the home appliance curved displays (like fridge control panels, air conditioner screens), 0.7mm-3mm is ideal choice. Thinner glass (0.7mm–1.5mm) works best for slim, sleek designs, while 2mm - 3mm offers more rigidity for frequently touched panels. It balances usability, durability, and easy assembly with the appliance's internal components.
Q:Is curve display glass scratch-resistant, how it achieved?
A: Yes, it can be made highly scratch-resistant through two key processes: chemical strengthening (ion-exchange treatment) or hard coating. Chemical strengthening boosts surface hardness to resist daily wear, while hard coating adds an extra protective layer-both ensure the glass can withstand regular use without visible scratches, even on touch-enabled panels.
Q:Can curve display glass be customized to match specific curvature requirements?
A:Absolutely. We use precision hot bending with custom molds, so we can adjust the curvature radius (from small 2.5mm radii for tight curves to larger radii for gentle bends) to fit your appliance's design. We also control dimensional tolerance tightly (±0.1mm) to ensure the curved glass aligns perfectly with your display module and casing.
Q:What's the difference between hot bending and cold bending for curve display glass?
A:Hot bending is the preferred method for curved display glass: It heats glass to its softening point (around 550–650°C) and shapes it with precision molds, creating smooth, consistent curves with minimal optical distortion. Cold bending (mechanical bending at room temperature) is only suitable for very thin glass and gentle curves, as it can cause distortion or weaken the glass-making it less ideal for high-performance display applications.
