The electronic glass isn't single product but multiple types base on different applications:
display glass is the last layer board of TFT-LCD and OLED, means screen's protector. Everyday we face phone screen, TV screen and PC screen can't leave without it. The corning company "Gorilla Glass" is the famous brand in this field.
Cover glass located is the most outer layer which bear finger touch and outer force impact, so good performance of anti scratch and anti drop will be needed. This kind of glass usually needs chemical strengthened treatment to improve mechanical strength.
ITO-coated glass is essentially ultra-thin glass with a transparent conductive coating of indium tin oxide (ITO) on its surface. It's used as the sensing layer in touchscreens or as electrodes in liquid crystal displays. This material conducts electricity while maintaining high light transmittance, which makes it a key enabler of touch functionality.
Encapsulation glass is mainly used in OLED displays and photovoltaic cells. It provides an airtight seal that keeps moisture and oxygen from getting inside the device, where they could cause performance to degrade.
Glass-ceramics are made through a controlled crystallization process that creates lots of tiny crystals inside the glass. This gives the material greater strength and better thermal performance. In recent years, some high-end smartphones have started using it for their back covers.
