The method to choose cover glass brand

The AR coated glass(Also called anti reflective glass), which is specially treated on single or double sides to reduce reflections.
Normal glass reflects around 4% light each side, adding up to around 8% in total. AR glass brings the number down to below 1%.

There are 2 methods to achieve it:
1. Use special coating to create inerference effects, cancel out reflected light and let more light pass through, which called AR glass.
2. Makes the surface slightly rough, so light scatters in many directions instead of bouncing back straightly. It doesn't improve transmission much but cut glare, that's AG glass.
Key features of vacuum coated AR glass:
1.Let's through up to 99% of visible light at the best and over 95% on average, so screens looks brighter and use less power.
2.Reflects less than 4% on average and as little as 0.5% below at the best.
3.Reduces the washed-out look caused by strong light behind the screen, giving you clearer pictures.
4.Block most UV rays to protect your eyes.
5.Handles heat well: Over 500°C (compared to acrylic, which only takes about 80°C).
6.Makes colors more vivid and contrast stronger, so images look sharper and more lifelike.
7.Good scratch resistant: The coating is hard as glass itself(over 7H), while PC sheets are only around 2~3H.
8.Stands up to cleaning with acids or alkalis without damaging the coating.
9.Strong impact resistance: 3mm thick AR glass performs like 6mm thick acrylic.
10.Much flatter surface than coated acrylic, and the difference gets bigger with larger sizes.
11.Doesn't shrink your viewing angle after installation, unlike acrylic.
12.Barely expands or warps with temperature changes, so it works in all kinds of conditions. Plus, it has a nice glossy look that feels more premium.
