Chemically strengthened glass use ion exchange process to replace surface sodium ions with potassium ions. It forms a firm compression layer, which greatly boost the glass toughness, scratch and drop resistance without sacrifice its high clarity, which is safer than common tempered glass. It avoids breakage and breaks into harmless blunt particles under extreme force. Flexible for deep processing, it widely applied in screen, smart devices, home appliances and high precision applications.

What's the differences between thermally tempered & chemically strengthened glass?
Thermally Tempered:
It mainly focus on 3.0mm above thickness and bigger size glass. During tempering process, tempering will be increased to 600-700℃ and then immediately strong wind to blow glass to change its structure.
In this way, from normal glass it became safety glass(When glass break, it becomes small particles in safety edge).
But for high requirement on flatness, thermally tempering isn't the first choice.
Chemically Strengthened:
It mainly applied in 3.0 below thickness and smaller size. During strengthening process, it used ion exchange method to make surface toughened.
In this way, the glass won't be safety glass but good flexible and flatness.

What's the advantages of chemically strengthened glass?
Higher surface compressive stress greatly improves bending strength and impact resistance compared with ordinary annealed glass.
