GL Glass Announces Strategic Plant Reconfiguration To Significantly Expand Cover Glass Production Capacity
Aug 03, 2026
Dongguan, 3rd Aug 2026-Dongguan GL Glass Co.,Ltd, a local leading manufacturer of high precision cover glass for consumer electronics and automotive displays.

Today announced a major strategic reconfiguration of its manufacturing facility. The comprehensive plant layout redesign focuses on expansion and integration of its advanced glass tempering lines and state-of-the-art dust-free silk-screen printing (also known as dust-free screen-printing) operations. This initiative is set to substantially increase the company's production capacity for cover glass to meet the surging global demand driven by next-generation smart devices.
The reconfiguration project currently underway, optimizes the plant's material flow and production efficiency by creating a more streamlined and connected manufacturing ecosystem. By reorganizing the production floor, GL Glass is eliminating bottlenecks and reduce material handling times, directly enhancing the throughput of its entire cover glass manufacturing process.
The expanded operations are centered on two critical pillars of the manufacturing process:
Expanded Glass Tempering Capacity
The newly designed layout features an expanded glass tempering section, dedicated to increasing the production of chemically and thermally strengthened glass. This is a crucial step in creating the durable cover glass required for modern electronic devices. The reconfiguration allows for a more efficient flow from cutting and edge processing directly into the tempering furnaces, significantly reducing cycle times and increasing daily output.
Advanced Dust-Free Silk-Screen Printing Line
In a move to bolster precision manufacturing, the company has expanded its dedicated dust-free printing zone. This area houses the upgraded silk-screen printing lines, which are now reconfigured to operate in a clean-room-like environment to prevent micro-contamination during the critical process of applying decorative borders and functional coatings to the glass. The new layout accommodates next-generation printing equipment capable of handling larger glass panels and achieving finer print resolutions.
