Regular Defects in Glass Cover Plates

During production, glass cover plates to various types of surface defects. The most issues refer below:

1.Scratches:

These typically occur during processes like hole drilling, edge chamfering and polishing. Improper handling of tools may leave scratches of vary shapes and depths on surface.

2.Edge Chipping:

Commonly found in blanking, drilling, chamfering and grinding stages. The uneven stress applied to the edge of raw glass can make localized fractures or peeling along the rim.

3.Translucent spots

Aring from insuffient ink coverage during screen printing, often due to contamination like dust particles but can prevent with proper ink deposition.

4.Ink bleeding on character areas

Excess ink spreading beyond the intended outlines of printed characters or logos, which cause by poor control during the silkscreen printing process.

5.Pits

Small, shallow indentations appear on the glass face, usually traced back to improper operation of cutting wheels, grinding bits or other machinery during blanking, edging or lapping steps.

6.Contamination

Removable surface marks happened during printing, packaging or other handling stages, usually result from inadequate cleaning or environmantal control.
