Jun 04, 2026

Here's something still confuse to experienced glass customers: Which side do you silkscreen print on?

To be simple: Air side is the best choice

The air side can give you better ink adhesion and gloss. Prints can be sharper, colors more fresh and clear. How about the tin side? It's thin metal layer from the float glass bad for ink adhesion and final result.

During printing process, what should notice below:

1.Choose suitable ink: The ink selection should follow glass material, color and pattern should be print to make sure printing quality and effect.

2.Control printing pressure: Different printing pressure affect ink adhesion and pattern clarity. So control printing pressure during process, make sure ink even and completely print on glass.

3.Keep screen clean: During production the screen will accumulate ink and inpurity to affect result. So clean screen regulary is needed.

To make a conclusion: Silkscreen glass technolgy need careful operation, only control different parameters and what to be notice can make sure printing quality and good appearance.
