how does switch panel glass produced?

1.Cutting & Sizing

Use CNC or laser precision cutting for raw glass sheets into design sizes & shapes(Rectangular, square or any custom shape).

Reserved edge allowance for subsequent processing and tolerance controlled within +/-0.02mm.

2.Edge processing(Chamfering / C corner)

The CNC grinding machines to process edge rounding or C corner finishing to make smooth, safe edges, prevent inquiry during handling or installation.

It also improves impact resistance by reduce edge micro cracks.

3.Grinding & Polishing

The special grinding brushes or cerium oxide polishing slurry being used to finely polish cut and chamfered edges and surfaces.

Removes micro cracks and burrs, enhances surface smoothness and the glass for strengthening and coating.

4.Tempering

When glass less than 2mm, we recommend to use chemical strengthening to get better flatness.
When glass for 2mm above, thermally tempered will be a better choice for safety.

5.Cleaning & Drying

Ultrasonic cleaning and deionized water rinsing remove surface oils, dust and salt residues.
Hot air or infrared drying ensures a high level of cleanliness for subsequent coating/printing.

6. Silk Print(Optional for decorative or marked panels)

Use specialized inks for screen print on glass(custom colors)
Printed patterns are simi cured or fully cured by tunnel furnace or IR drying, forming permanent logos, icons or touch indicator areas.
